As a child, I dreamt of not only being an astronaut, but the first ASTRONAUT JOURNALIST on the International Space Station…

Beyond the telescope, star charts and budding journalism skills, there were rock tumblers, microscopes, chemistry sets, pottery classes, a wood burner/soldering kit, writing classes, train sets, a McIntosh computer, magic classes, bicycles, notebooks, backpacks and a girl with a head full of ideas…behind her were parents who gave her the tools to follow her dreams.

Instead of the International Space Station, my path includes entrepreneurship, finance, engineering and education all with a purpose of inspiring girls and women to be bold in the pursuit of their passions.

My daughter wants to be a biomedical engineer. Our school gives her every tool and opportunity possible so she can follow her dreams.

About the founder…

A Girl Named Earle STEM School was founded by a girl named Elizabeth Earle Browne to inspire girls to be bold in the pursuit of their talents, passions and dreams. Mrs. Browne holds a Bachelor of Science in International Finance from Auburn University, a Master’s in Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is currently at Doctoral Candidate in Education at the University of West Alabama. With careers in finance, entrepreneurship and engineering, Mrs. Browne is currently the Engineering Academy Director and AP Computer Science Principles teacher for a top rated, local high school. Her students thrive in her classroom and labs, going on fully prepared for college. Her own five teenagers (four of them girls) have shown her the need for an all girls school where girls are free to follow their dreams without fear of negative social implications. She is passionately purposeful in support of the next generation of young ladies thriving in STEM. She and her husband, Raymond Earl (yes, they have the same middle name), are dedicated to each other, their family, spending as much time outdoors, wondering and wandering, and to the girls and their families this school serves.

Keeping dreams alive…

With a supportive and engaging environment, girls can follow their dreams and change the world!
